Protect yourself from burglary

Cyprus Police suggests the adoption of the followingmeasures as ways to protect your property: Lock up when you leave your house, re- gardless if you are going away only for a short period of time. Keep your shutters and curtains closed. It will pre- vent burglars from looking inside your home. Do not open the door before you see who the visitor is. Fit a door chain and door viewer (spy-hole). Fit strong locks to ex- ternal doors and windows. Win- dows could be fit- ted with extra security systems. Never give your house keys to cleaners or other persons.
