The stability of the chemical and the storage conditions (e.g., temperature and presence of air, light, organic matter, or metals) determine the use-life of antimicrobial products. Vegetative bacteria: bacteria that are devoid of spores and usually can be readily inactivated by many types of germicides. Virucide: an agent that kills viruses to make them noninfective.
