Finally, through these partnerships, we give our Diaspora the opportunity to contact and connect with the Diaspora of other states (“people-to-peo44 | National Strategy on Cyprus Diaspora ple contact”) with which we share experiences and challenges. In this way, Cyprus Diaspora will be able to meet and develop strong bonds of friendship and cooperation with the Diaspora of other states. In the same context, in recent years we have developed programmes such as Educational Visits for Diaspora Youth, with countries such as Greece, Israel, Egypt, giving young people the opportunity to visit their homelands together. All the above confirm the importance of this pillar. Therefore, the existing framework of actions should be reinforced with further initiatives to make it even more effective and beneficial to Cyprus and its Diaspora.
