40 | National Strategy on Cyprus Diaspora “As organisation, we set as primary objectives the promotion of the Cyprus problem, the enlightenment of public opinion and the exercise of influence on the decision-making centres of the European Union. In order to promote these interests, we seek and maintain close cooperation with organisations of other important communities such as the Federation of Armenian and Jewish organisations. We believe that constant communication, exchange of information and cooperation between the Federations of Cypriots expatriates is a prerequisite for the fulfilment of our objectives. The preservation of our cultural identity, the strengthening of the relations of our members both among themselves and with our homeland, the continuation of the teaching of the Greek language, the solution of practical problems faced by our compatriots in their country of residence as well as the issues that concern the new generation are included in the agenda of our activities and are of great concern to our federation.
