At the western tip of Cyprus, Akamas is the island’s largest national park where sea meets mountains, skies lose themselves in perfect horizons and visitors escape into emerald bays and colourful landscapes. Home to rare indigenous orchids, ancient fossils, and wild goats, it is included in the Natura 2000 network of protected areas of the EU and is among the very few sea turtle nesting areas in the Mediterranean.
