234 1958 Αμμόχωστος Ο πίνακας ( Αρ. 7 ) του Χριστόφορου Σάββα έγινε πιθανόν στις αρχές του 1958 κάπου στην Καρπασία. Το 1973 μου ζητήθηκε να δημιουργήσω μια εγκατάσταση/δρώμενο για το κλείσιμο της γκαλερί Pisces στην Αμμόχωστο. Το πρότζεκτ ήταν πάρα πολύ μέσα στο πνεύμα των συνεργειών στις αρχές της δεκαετίας του 1970. ( Αρ. 8, 9 και 10 ) Το ονόμασα Μαύρο Καμβά. Η γκαλερί έκλεινε, αλλά όλοι ήταν πολύ ευδιάθετοι. Δύο από τους ιδιοκτήτες, οι αγαπητοί μου φίλοι Λόρενς και Άντζελα έπρεπε να φύγουν από την Κύπρο για τη Νέα Υόρκη. Σήμερα (1997/1998) είναι πολύ γνωστοί καλλιτέχνες. 1958 Famagusta The painting ( Νο. 7 ) by Christoforos Savva was possibly done early in 1958 somewhere in Karpasia. In 1973 I was asked to create an installation/ happening for the closing of a gallery in Famagusta called Pisces. The project was very much into the synergy spirit of the early seventies. ( Νos. 8, 9 and 10 ) I called it Black Canvas. The gallery was closing down but everyone was highly spirited. Two of the owners, my dear friends Laurence and Angela had to leave Cyprus for New York. Today, (1997/1998) they are well known artists. I met a collector from Famagusta during the event who was interested to sell his heavy possessions because he was also planning to go out of the country soon. We made an appointment the same day and I went to his house which was close by. I looked through the work. He had a piece of mine that he got from Apophasis 1, when I showed with Savva. I was moved. I was missing him very much. I really liked an early Skoteinos painting but I fell in love with a huge Savva.
